The area is being patrolled by private security companies, however, it still remains a good idea to stay vigilant. Here are a few tips to keep you safe:

• Always walk in groups or with a friend during the night time. No need during the daytime, since the area is normally bustling with students then!
• Keep your valuables hidden.
• Avoid exercising in isolated areas during late afternoons or early mornings.
• To avoid being a target to criminals, be conscious of your surroundings when on the streets.
